Aux Saveurs Lointaines — Restaurant in Pithiviers

Just had dinner here, and I can only recommend!

We're on a roadtrip from the Netherlands to the Pyrenees, and happened to stop in this French village for the night. We were met with the most delightful surprise when looking for dinner. The restaurant looks inviting from the outside, but the inside is even more awesome! Lots of plants, good atmosphere & music, and above all a very welcoming host! Our host spoke perfect English as well as French, and made great conversation with us.

The food was great and clearly made with a lot of care, and it tasted super authentic as well!

Even though we found this place by sheer luck I would definitely visit again if I'm able, highly recommend! Great for travellers and...

My wife and I lunched here for the second time on 2025.04.02. We loved their authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine. We loved their fantastic service, and that they were willing to tweak dishes to our liking without extra charge, as well as go out of the way to ensure our dinner takeaway was properly packed. We loved that the owner's son (sorry I forgot your name) speaks fluent English. He even pointed us to an excellent bakery for our favourite Pithiviers fondant. And the garden-like vibe of this restaurant is quite lovely. All in, we highly recommend dining here, and will be back for a third time, even if it means detouring for 60-70km...

Ce samedi 13 janvier nous sommes allez manger dans ce restaurant avec des copines. On nous accueille plus ou moins, on nous demande si nous avons une réservation, le serveur regarde sur son téléphone et oooh semble étonné d'avoir de nouveaux clients. Celui ci nous installe nos deux tables non prête en prenant sur les autres clients. Puis il vient nous voir nous demande si nous avons choisi car il doit vite envoyé en cuisine. Nous commandons une entrée à partager où il est écrit "pour 3 à 4 personnes,16 pièces..." Quand cela arrive sur la table il arrive 4 raviolis, 4 nems,2 rouleau de printemps et 3 je c plus quoi il explique qu'ils sont bien garni d'où le fait qu'il y en ai moins ! Cela commence mal, je trouve l'explication un peut bizarre ! Plat au top bien garni et dessert correct. Le serveur semble qd même débordé et tout juste correct, cassant, sec et peu souriant. Bref ambiance froide tout comme dans le restaurant où il fessait très froid ! Au moment de l'addition celui ci nous explique si nous sommes en retard il faut le prévenir ! Nous avions tout juste 10min de retard et une copine avec une mobilité réduite ! Je tiens à dire que nous aussi nous avons attendu un bon moment avant d'être installé et de plus rien de prêt pour nous accueillir ! Sur les menus est également écrit 15% de remise mais attention UNIQUEMENT si vous réservez par WhatsApp !!! Bref encore une fois. À retenir que mes copines étaient déjà allé dans se restaurant et que l'ambiance n'était pas la même ! Donc bien dommage pour moi première expérience ! Malgré que la nourriture était bonne et bien garni je m'abstiendrai...
