We found this restaurant being open around 4pm, when most places were closed. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was terrible. Our first experience of ouassous was just bland. Our first experience of chatrou consisted of tiny pieces of octopus in an overly salty stew. So glad we tried better chatrou in other restaurants after, instead of only remembering this one. The service was not that friendly, and wasn’t fast even though we were the only clients. The restaurant still had Merry Christmas decorations, despite being at the end of February. Also expensive. Our worst restaurant experience...

Many other restaurants were already full for lunch, so we found this one a bit further from the center of town. Initial welcome by the owner was pleasant as he enticed us with different menu options posted outside. Once seated, the service was OK but a bit lackluster. Food was tasty (accras, fish, chicken) but nothing special. Atmosphere was relaxed and there appeared to be some regular clients who seemed to know the owner well, which can be a good sign. Overall, though, I think there are better options in Anse-Bertrand but you just need to reserve or arrive earlier for a...
