First of all I am deeply disappointed to have a negative tone about this review as I am known around town for being a nice reviewer however given the circumstances of my experience this negative review is greatly deserved 🫩🫩Let me tell you a tale about my horror experience when dining at this prison!! However id much rather have prison food than torture my taste buds with food. 🤢🤮I paid 15 euros for this thinking it would be a very nice and tasty meal yet I couldn’t have been more wrong. They made us wait a century for our food which is UNNACCEPTABLE!!! And I got the wrong order which clearly shows a lack of basic human knowledge from the staff. On my pizza there was a discrete amount olives and chorizo thinking there would be a fruitful and joyous amount of toppings on said pizza however to my surprise there were 2 olives and about 3 chorizo slices on the whole dish. This is not right!!!! 👺👺👺 They gave us the food uncut and unprepared and I rightfully went back to ask for it cut and they did it in a harsh and unjust and playful tone leaving me to feel like I was stupid. Another 20 minutes went by before they actually cut the pizza!! If you’re in this area do not visit this hell hole. Only visit it if you’re looking for torture!! 😡 I want my time and my tastebuds back this instant!!

What a lovely friendly little restaurant in the centre of town of Vivonne. The outside area at the back of the restaurant was lovely surrounded by trees and the sounds of the little stream babbling by with ducks quacking away. As for the food the menu has quite a selection of options from salads to pizzas and pasta and also savoury crepes. I had a basquese pizza ( a bit of a speciality of the restaurant) and my wife ordered the scallops and beef savoury crepe. Both were fabulous and very tasty. Sadly we had no room for dessert. We washed this down with a nice bottle of white wine. We had a bit of a laugh with the owners as we’ve just travelled back from Spain and hadn’t quite managed the switch from Spanish to French but they got the gist of what we meant to say. A lovely friendly atmosphere and we’d certainly go again when we pass through on the way back to Spain later this year.

We found La Sicilia on Google while passing through on our way to Tours and stopped in for a quick dinner. The restaurant itself is really nice, with a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They have a space for kids to play which is definitely a huge plus. We didn’t try the pizzas, which seems to be the house specialty, and instead went for pasta. It was a safe and decent choice, nothing remarkable but satisfying enough. The salad was also fine. Overall, 3 stars feels like a fair evaluation — it doesn’t take away from the service or the setting, which were both very good. For the price, we were pleased with what we got.
