FLUNCH PONTIVY — Restaurant in Pontivy

Always liked calling in to Flunch in Pontivy for a coffee and sometimes lunch. Alas no more. Two members of staff were vaping whilst having their lunch right at the entrance of the restaurant on Friday when we went. When I asked them if vaping was allowed they grinned, put their finger to their lips and said sshh! Smoking and vaping are strictly forbidden in closed public spaces by French law, surely they didn't need reminding? An email sent to the Directrice with the PDG of Flunch on copy has not been answered. If they can't abide simple health rules in front of the Public what the heck is it like in the kitchen. Flunch pontivy?...

Was not particularly impressed with the extremely limited choice or quality of vegetables etc. Ratatouille was very watered down and tateless. Vegetable options were not the standard of other Flunch venues. Staff were friendly though. We visited around 7pm and left around 8.30pm and there was hardly anyone else in there. The door marked exit didn't open and the door we exited was falling apart at the bottom where the door catches are. Usual experience of Flunch is much better so wouldn't make a special trip to return to this one based on its limited choices available on the self serve veg, others have much more of a wide and...

Nous étions des clients réguliers de ce restaurant depuis quelques années mais après des mauvaises expériences, nous avions décidé de ne plus y retourner. Et puis, juste avant le confinement, nous avions décidé avec ma femme de retenter l'expérience, un an après notre dernière visite. Nous avons été très agréablement surpris. Il y a clairement eu beaucoup d'efforts dans certains domaines comme l'hygiène. Nous y sommes retournés il y a quelques jours, et l'expérience a une nouvelle fois été très bonne. Mention spéciale à la dame britannique (je crois) toujours souriante et attentionnée qui se rappelait de nous et même de ce que nous commandions après tout ce temps. Nous avons retrouvé le restaurant familial que nous aimions et les enfants en particulier sont ravis. Nous espérons simplement ne plus croiser le monsieur qui avait été si désagréable...
