Stayed overnight. The room was good and the food in the restaurant was great value and generally good with fantastic service from the young lady who served everyone in the restaurant despite being busy and on her own. The town is quiet, although try and find the house where a sculpture lives which has a giant metal spider on the side of the house, it's impressive. We had free breakfast with booking.com, but were charged. We were a distance away when we realised which was our fault, but it was a little difficult when paying the bill as the owners wife was having a heated discussion with a member of staff and talking to some people at the bar which was distracting and seemed a bit rude. Read moreThe hotel is old fashioned and a little run down. Bike storage is across the road in a shed. It did not feel fully secure. The owner was welcoming and helpful. The room was clean but small. Corridors are winding and dark. Books and out of date magazines are scatttered around little nooks and tables. Showers were warm and clean. Breakfast was good. Apparently, half board means you have no choice about the evening meal you are served - you just have to eat what they choose to give you. This is not made clear in advance.
