I was expecting haute cuisine, a combination of flavors, but everything felt flat, as if something was missing. There was a clear lack of creativity, particularly with the asparagus dish and some of the side dishes, like the purées of peas and artichokes — dishes you could easily recreate at home. The only plates that stood out were the cod (“cabillaud”) with its sauce and the meat. Otherwise, the food felt below average, especially compared to the beautiful setting and the excellent service from the waiters — who could even sense how disappointed we were. Read moreWhat an amazing experience. The kitchen (an open kitchen which is always a good sign) only uses fresh local ingredients so the menu changes every day. Choice between 4 or 7 courses. Best meal we’ve had in a very long time and we typically steer clear of multi course menus as we have little kids. We chose 4 courses but it was really 6 with an amuse buche and closing sweets.
