AU COMPTOIR DE TRINIACH — Restaurant in Prades

Without reservation, a rapid readjustment enabled us to be seated promptly. The waitress was very hospitable and a good choice of food was made available to us. We went for the steak with mushroom sauce. That was great, plus their fries pillows - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside - as its meant to be. We ate and ate and it wouldn't finish. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The dessert menu was presented, and we went for the tiramisu and chocolate mousse pot. The tiramisu was deconstructed but very nice. It was all devoured pretty quick.

The waitress took an interest as to where we came from, which was a nice, friendly touch. All in all, it was a very nice experience as we straddled daytime and nighttime during our meal. The weather and atmosphere were ideal.

UPDATE: we enjoyed the accommodating service and high-quality food that we returned here the following week for a birthday dinner. Once again, they did an outstanding job accommodating us, and the food was 6 stars. I had no qualms being generous with my tipping ❤️

UPDATE II: so we decided to show up to this place for a 3rd time without hesitation because the campsite down the road was blaring out holiday rep a la 80s butlins tunes. Before we sat down, we had a sense of what we wanted. Bruchette poulet + beouf each. My word the plate was swamped with food, but we ate and we ate and I decided against the planned fromage to follow up. We ended it on a tarte tatin + citron with a cafe au lait. The cafe au lait was outstanding, not bitter, and the perfect balance of milk to coffee. Will we be back for a 4th dose?...

De ontvangst en de bediening bij au Comptoir is heel erg goed en warm. Persoonlijk, maar bescheiden en zeer gastvrij. De plek, het terras is ruim en aangenaam om te verblijven. De gerechten die we bestelden waren erg lekker. Het eten is eerlijk en puur en doet recht aan de streek. En dat voor een prima prijs. L'accueil et le service au Comptoir sont très bons et chaleureux. Personnel mais sans prétention et très accueillant. Le lieu, la terrasse est spacieuse et agréable à séjourner. Les plats que nous avons commandés étaient très savoureux. La cuisine est honnête et pure et rend justice à la région. Et à un prix excellent. Bonjour, Service et personnelle très gentils et accueillant. Pour ce qui concerne la cuisine… j’y suis aller quelque fois et j’ai êtes souvent déçu, viande à moitié cuite et l’autre trop cuite… frite congeler, œuf mimosa (œuf dure avec juste de la mayonnaise, de la roquette, 1 tranche de tomate et aucun assaisonnement…) sa déçois… Je l’ai dit au personnelle et aucun geste commercial à chaque fois. Je n’est jamais êtes déçu du petit déjeuner, très bon chocolat chaud et pain au chocolat. J’espère qu’il trouveront une solution sinon je n’y retournerai pas pour le midi.
