Horrible experience.
My partner (French) and I arrived and asked where to sit. An older food runner told us to sit anywhere. Five minutes later, the same older waitress took our order for two lemonades (€3 each). We waited 30 minutes with no service or water for our dogs.
At the 35-minute mark, the older waitress finally brought our drinks. Shortly after, a younger waitress came to our table while my partner was in the toilet. I explained in French that I am English and asked if she spoke English. She said yes, so I told her that, since we had waited so long, we just wanted to pay for our drinks and continue exploring Eus.
She suddenly became aggressive, barking at me in French. People nearby jumped at her tone and whatever she said. She then went inside and told my partner we had to spend a minimum of €10, forcing her to buy a €4 small bottle of water.
When my partner returned, the waitress immediately came back, yelling at us to leave because we were in a “dining only” area—something we were never told. Her behaviour was vulgar, unstable, and completely unprofessional. We left with our half-finished drinks.
Other customers apologised for her, saying “Not all French people are like that” and “I’m so sorry.”
My main criticism is the unprofessional behaviour of the waitress and poor coordination of this business. Given the many similar negative reviews on Google, it’s hard not to wonder if their rating is...

The food is very good,the menu is constantly changing and you can see the passion and flair that the chef Puts into all the dishes...using fresh local produce ..... ...I was very impressed with the pulled pork burger especially...
The pricing seems very fair when you see the food that is served...the quality of the chef and using fresh local produce from independent suppliers.
...the ambience of the interior is warm and welcoming and the owners have shown very nice attention to detail,with the colours and even down to the light fittings....
But without doubt.the terrace is the peice de resistance..with stunning views of Mount canigou opposite..
The service is second to none with good knowledge and detail of all the dishes . ..I can't recommend this lovely place enough ,in an amazing village.... In a truly beautiful setting.

I don't often write reviews unless I have an experience that is above and beyond the normal. This small bistro in a beautiful village has such a wonderful ambience and all of the staff are outstanding - even the young trainee waiter who was getting such professional training. The service was unhurried and we were given great detail about the food on offer. I would have happily eaten anything on the menu but my artichoke heart starter was divine and my beef was so tasty and tender. All the food was expertly presented with style. If you are ever in the area I thoroughly recommend having a meal at this...
