We stayed here in August the Site is a great family site with plenty to do.||||Accommodation||||We stayed in a basic 5 berth Mobile home which was great, if you are use to basic french mobile homes then you will know that you do not get an oven. This does not matter to us as we take a BBQ and have a barby every night. The mobile home was spacious, clean and had all the kitchen utensils we needed. We had a large decking with outside table and chairs and two sun umbrellas. You do get a T.V in the mobile home but you need to pay to get a remote control. Also be aware you do not get a BBQ with the basic accommodation so make sure you bring your own unless you have an upgraded mobile home.||||Site Facilities||||The site has two swimming pools with some great water slides for the kids and adults. The pool area can get busy usually in the afternoon but they usually have plenty of chairs free even if you can not get a sunbed. There is a bar and restaurant on site with a small arcade and a nice creperie and very small shop for the basics. Be aware the site is mostly used by french holiday makers so the entertainment is always in french which did not bother our kids as it is good for them to help them learn the language.||There is a big play park on site with crazy golf (free) and table tennis tables.||||Location||||The site is situated right on the waters edge with a lovely beach a ten minute walk away. When the tide goes out the promenade does get a bit smelly but you can not smell this in the site itself. The nearest supermarket is located Fouesnant (Super U) which is about 10 minute drive. The surrounding area is lovely with Quimper, Benodet and Concarneau (a must see) all within 20 mins. There us also a lovely biscuit museum on the road to Benodet which is free and get to have lots of lovely tasters. ||||If you are a regular visitor to french holiday parks then you will not be disappointed with this site ( we have been going to france for the last ten years). This is our 2nd visit to a Capfun site and we love them, and for 500 euros a week in the august summer holidays I cant...

Read moreJust spent late May half term at Le Grand Large as a family of five (kids aged 12, 9 and 3). Quite empty at this time of year. Seemed about 40% full and most of that seemed to be British. Accommodation was clean. Two pools, indoor and out, were well heated and clean. There are five water slides to go on plus a big play area at the top of the site with a large climbing house with towers. There are a couple of bouncy castles on the go at all times plus a sports court for basketball, football etc. Table tennis tables are laid on too. The onsite shop was good for fresh bread in the morning but didn't really seem that well stocked (maybe because it was quiet season) but wasn't a big deal because there's a massive E Leclerc only 10 minutes drive away or a Carrefour about the same distance. Camp was very quiet so no disturbances at night. The beach next to the campsite isn't very attractive and can whiff a little at low tide. Benodet is also 15 minutes away and that is a beautiful beach for swimming. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. An...
