Le Poisson nageur — Restaurant in Quimper

Very nice place to be,

We were welcomed very friendly, and could choose a table to our liking. It was sunny so we sat outside.

Our whit e wine was served in a bag full of water (instead of ice) but it was kept at decent temprature.

While ordering our courses there was a misunderstanding in the languages as my french is ok, but their english is not so, this made it my main course was serverd well done in stead of medium rare as i like my meat mostly.

Starter was a combination of beef stew and mushrooms rolled in a crepe (at least it tasted and looked like 1.) This was an amazing dish, full of flavour and texture..,

As said mijn main course was not served well,, so my entre cote well done is not really good,. I could see the meat was good but not served in this way, such a shame. My wife had fish but by tghhe language no idea which 1... Both dishes served with parsnip and red red cabbage mixture.... not bad, but just notto our likings.

For desert i hadLemon cream with crumble. A good way to finish a meal.

All in all a bit 50/50 diner. almost very good but...

Very friendly welcome, excellent explanation of menu from slate board and food was delicious, all freshly prepared. My mixed plate starter, octopus main and spicy chocolate fondant were full of fantastic different flavours and my husband's smoked fish, St. Peter fish and crumble were just as well received. We have booked to go back already, really excellent...
