Had the pleasure of eating here twice on a recent visit to the area - once at lunch and once in the evening. Both occasions were excellent. The lunch visit was during 38° degrees of sunshine!!! We were made very welcome and seated on the verandah for a refreshing drink before going inside to eat ( way too hot to eat outside ). The service, presentation and food itself were superb. Can thoroughly recommend the pork from the “plat du jour” menu. Just had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The second occasion was an evening meal where it had cooled down enough to actually enjoy being seated outside. Once again, service, presentation and food itself were excellent. Staff are very friendly and the locally sourced Limousin bouef is simply stunning. I thought both meals were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Dog friendly and English is no issue either. Then after (or before) your drink / meal - a nice stroll around the Lake.

Hasn't failed to deliver on any occasion - and I have high expectations, yet again a lovely Sunday meal. They kindly found us a table late in the serving and the Duck we had was lovely. Desserts of Creme Brulee and Crepes were also a delight. Many thanks to our server. This is a delightful place to visit with good service, good food and a wonderful view. We will, ofcourse come again.

Excellant service from the momment we stepped through the door, very welcoming staff. Very dog friendly and food was excellent and good value. Set on this beautiful lake its was a ideal stop off in the French wet winter with a really great atmosphere. We will return soon.

We came across La Grange du Lac whilst looking for a late lunch venue – what a find! Situated by the beautiful lake we were welcomed by Andrew who was the friendliest and most helpful person. In fact, the restaurant was about to close but Andrew stayed open for us and happily served us delicious food and drinks all afternoon.  The menu ranges from fresh fish of the day to homemade burgers, salad and homemade chips – all presented with care and thought. However, Andrew’s homemade lemon cheesecake was the piece de resilience! Don’t miss this place if you are in the area as it is a stunning location and great for a whole day’s outing as the lake has walks around it, activities or just stop for a quick lunch....

The service was good, in fact fun. In terms of the food I’m not speaking for the others in my party but it was very average. I can’t be sure if the chicken was homemade, but it was tasteless. I had the burger. But what really annoyed me was the chocolate mousse, that was tasteless, it was tiny (bit of god send to be fair given it’s taste) and at €6… I’d prefer to pay €6 for a cheap supermarket version than what was served.

It’s a nice place, but the food massively lets down the serving staff. Sorry but I...
