we had booked this as part of our onward journey and thought we would be welcomed, as confirmed from 3pm and be able to eat in the resturant then have a good nights sleep and carry on with our journey. We arrived 3.30 the place was closed, no one answered the phone, no note and we were left standing on the pavement. An elderly couple who lived opposite tried to assist (our fault French is non existent) they finally managed to contact the owner who said he would be there in a "couple of hours" and there was no resturant facilities. Being in a very small place there was nothing else available. We journeyed on and would definitely not recommend this, as the booking terms and conditions were not honoured. Partout où mon regard s'est posé dans ce restaurant, il y avait de la décoration à mon goût. Tout est joli et harmonieux, sans excès et dans un style "chalet" qui vous met immediatement dans un cocon de bien être. La feu de bois qui crépite dans la jolie cheminée ajoute encore un point positif à cet intérieur délicieux. C'est un endroit doux et chaleureux, où l'accueil est vraisemblablement d'une importance capitale, et où la cuisine est succulente. Nous habitons tout prêt depuis peu, et ce repas est le premier d'une longue série, assurément ! Juste une suggestion : nous avons pris l'assiette de fromages en guise de dessert, et avons été étonnés de ne pas y trouver les fromages de chèvres si réputés de la Sologne à la Touraine.... mais ils étaient fameux tout de même ! Mention spéciale à l'entrecóte si tendre et à la cuisson exactement comme demandée, quant aux ris de veau saucés de façon exquise et sa petite ecrasée de pommes de terre et patate douce, ils sont un régal pour les papilles ! Seul bémol, on est un peu trop poussés à la consommation, et ce n'est pas agréable : nous avons repris du vin au verre car notre bouteille était fini. Ce qui nous a été servi était un vin arrivé à la fin de sa conservation, et ce vin est immédiatement proposé en carton (normal il faut le boire vite avant qu'il devienne vraiment plus buvable...). Au moment de régler, proposition pour le repas de St Valentin : pfffff c'est dommage de finir sur une note trop commerciale quand on a passé un si bon moment.... Nous reviendrons bientôt mais serons plus sur nos garde pour ne pas consommer plus que prévu.

Second repas ce vendredi soir (janvier 2024). Nettement moins ce sentiment de "poussée àa consommation" et de ce fait, bien plus agréable encore ! Mention spéciale cette fois au cabillaud, cuit à la perfection et servi en croûte d'herbes avec une brunoise de légumes et un risotto à tomber par terre ! L'entrecôte est toujours aussi bonne. La cuisine est maison et realisée avec des produits de choix. On sent un cuisiner passionné et soucieux de régaler les papilles ! Choix de vins à noter également. Un endroit, vraiment, à...
