our concierge sent us to this restaurant on Easter Monday as it was one of the few places open and we were so glad we went. The menu is written on a chalkboard and changes as to what's available seasonally and the market, but 3 entrees and 5 mains including meat, fish and a vegetarian option was avaliable. My wife and I both had the trout capaccio and I had the fillet de boeuf and my wife had the vegetarian risotto. both were of high standard and visually appealing and enticing. Service was attentive without being pushy and the waitress helped us navigate the impressive winelist with lots of local choices in English. Absolutely lovely casual fine dining in Mittelbergheim and 100% worth the trip. We enjoyed a weekday lunch with exceptionally high quality products and perfectly balanced flavors. Was für ein wunderbarer Abend im "Am Lindelplatzel"! Nach einem kleinen Spaziergang von Andlau aus (sehr zu empfehlen, da die Weinkarte so einiges hergibt), hatten wir das Glück an diesem noch warmen Abend auf der Terrasse sitzen zu können - angenehmer unaufgeregter und zuvorkommender Service. Unsere Vorspeisen, Foi Gras und Thunfischtartar, war durch die Bank exzellent! Wunderbare Auswahl an Hauptspeisen, die einem die Qual der Wahl lassen. Wir haben uns nicht gequält und uns für Entenbrust und Kalbsfleisch entschieden. Einwandfrei! Die Weinauswahl hat uns besonders viel Spaß gemacht. Auf der Karte unter anderem Exoten wie Orange-Cuvée von Kreydenweiss aus Andlau, für die wir uns letztlich auch entschieden haben. Ein wilder Vertreter mit klaren Profil des Gewürztraminers und der herben Frische von Grapefruit. Passte wunderbar zur Sauce nit Rharbarber bei der Entenbrust, aber auch zu anschließenden Käseplatte.
