La Voile — Restaurant in Saint-Brieuc

We had been there on a really hot and crowded evening and even then David and his team had all under control. The fish and chips is probably the best of that kind I ever had, the tuna mi-cuit had been generous and cooked to the exact point inbetween nice crust and a bit raw on the inside that is so great about a good tuna steak. Another time around we had the Linguine Frutti di Mare - very generous, tasty, lots of variety of seafood on it, as well as a really nice salada campagnarde. Nice wines, reasonable price value, should also be really nice and cozy in winter. Last but not last, of course situated at the port of Dahouet simply a lovely sundowner place to watch boats sail in and out. Highly...

Rude and very bad tempered lady in charge. Stopped here for a coffee on a Sunday morning and if it hadn't been for the fact that nothing else was open would have walked away. Not allowed to sit at any of their outside tables while we waited for them to open (10 minutes!); told in a VERY direct manner that we couldn't lean our cycles anywhere on premises (had to leave them across the road) and the abuse the, we assume owner, was handing out to the poor girl laying tables made us all feel truely sorry for her. Nice spot on a picturesque harbour ... but there were several other cafe's that, had they been open, would have received our order for 8...

Bon franchement je ne sais pas si c'est un cas isolé avec pas de chance .... mais je vais partager notre expérience... et malheureusement nous concernant n'est pas glorieuse.

Je vais commencer par les points négatifs puis je finirai par les positifs..

Déjà le gros gros point noir ... la Serveuse... "lunaire".. complètement à côté de la plaque revient plusieurs fois pour nous demander si c'est bien ça qu'on a pris .. Elle ce trompe de table pour la commande très lente et vraiment pas sur d'elle... ( un début ?) Mais très agaçant dans un service où la salle est remplie... Carafe d'eau et pain demandés à plusieurs reprises.. Ensuite la nourriture. Rien de transcendant .. banale .. ma salade paysanne contenait que des croûte de fromage de chèvre sûrement la fin de la bûche mais pas servable avec du bon sens et sans goût. Ma conjointe prends des huîtres remplies de morceaux de coquilles cassées très désagréable. Puis elle prends des pâtes relativement bonne mais servie dans une assiette froide donc sont devnue froide très rapidement ..

Concernant les points positif il y en a quand même. Le reste du personnel reste agréable malgré tout. Le cadre est très sympa et chaleureux type petite cabane de pecheur. Et l'emplacement sur le port un peu reculé très charmant. Mais voilà pour nous ça sera tout et nous n'y reviendront pas . Sûrement parfait pour prendre un verre....

Beaucoup d'autres restaurants dans les environs bien bien plus attractif...
