Not recommended! We were very disappointed by this place.
When we arrived at 17:45 they angrily sent us away “we open at 18:00”. Weird. Then, when we returned at 18:30 they had the most trouble providing a table and there was a lot of moving around of plastic tables and chairs when the whole place was still almost empty. The waiter seemed incredibly annoyed by us being there. All the while the five of us stood there waiting. It was all just very awkward and unprofessional.
The food itself was not particularly good either. The green salad is essentially 3 leaves with some sauce. I had a mixed grill brochette that was extremely disappointing too. Badly prepared, the beef was almost raw while the chicken was overdone, dry and tasteless. The fries were greasy and soft.
When we were finished with desert (an underwhelming Dame Blanche) it took ages to get a bill. And then the waitress didn’t take the credit card I offered, instead she ran off again. I waited 5 more minutes figuring maybe she was getting the card terminal until I decided I apparently had to head over to the counter and wait for someone there to help me and please take my money.
When we left, the place was packed for some reason, but I won’t be coming back here. Pretty bad food and unfriendly service. And expensive too.
In hindsight, it almost seems as though locals are treated much better than tourists. That can be the only explanation for our poor experience vs all the good reviews...
Read moreThe hostess was extremely rude. She visibly sighed when we requested to sit outside. Before that, we stood around awkwardly waiting to be seated. The service was extremely slow. We requested water and never received it. The head manager seemed nice but was oblivious to how things were going at the tables. We were lucky to get a high chair for our son. Obviously, we were supposed to be grateful they squeezed us in sans reservation and not expect much. Would not...
