La Gourmandise — Restaurant in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges

I spent a wonderful time with my friends at La Gourmandise. The inside of the restaurant is very cosy.

I ordered an Iced Tea, for an "Apéritif" which was beautifully chilled.

I didn't have any starter because I have a small tummy.

So I went for the main meal and chose Tagliatelle aux 2 saumons (smoked salmon and cooked flaked salmon) served with a Aneth sauce. It was really delightful! As a big quantity was served, I only managed to eat half of my portion. But do not worry, as the waiter/waitress will ask you if you wish to take away your leftovers. So they box it up for you.

And then, I finished which just 2 scoops of ice cream (apricot sorbet and pistachio ice cream) so delicious.

For all this I only paid 19 €. The salmon dish was 13 €.

(PS: they used to make pizzas as well, but due to covid-19, they took them off their menu. That doesn't mean, they will never put them back on, as the waitress told us, that eventually they'll go back to making them. Let's...

First of, our French is almost non-existent. The waitress was unbelievably kind and tried extremely hard with us. Even when ordering the Steak Tartare, she made sure we knew it was raw meat. I would recommend this place for the service alone - Sandra was wonderful.

Une cuisine de qualité dans un cadre agréable pour un prix raisonnable. Quand je suis entré dans le restaurant, j'ai eu la chance d'obtenir une table malgré beaucoup de réservation, se qui montre la popularité de cet établissement. Accueilli par un personnel souriant et agréable, dans un cadre qui, au premier abord, peut sembler pour le moins restreint, s'avère parfaitement adapté : ni trop ni trop peu par rapport à l'espace. La carte, bien que d'après moi aurait pu être davantage garnis, propose une grande variété de plats. Malgré mon choix de plat copieux, avec une boisson, mon addition n'était pas trop salée. Seule ombres au tableau, une attente quelque peu longue avant d'être servi, cependant il y avait beaucoup de monde se soir, aussi je ne leur en tiendrez pas rigueur. Je recommande chaleureusement.
