I had the pleasure of dining at Le Gavroche, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional culinary experience. Each dish was meticulously crafted, both in flavor combinations and presentation, showcasing a great attention to detail and a passion for the cuisine.

The owner was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, guiding us through the selection of the best wines and an excellent Armagnac to cap off the evening. This level of care and expertise truly enhanced our dining experience.

Moreover, it was a real pleasure to meet the chef, who came to our table to passionately share stories about the dishes we enjoyed and some anecdotes from his career. This personal touch made the evening even more special and memorable.

Le Gavroche has moved into a chic new setting just across the square from its original place. We thought we were lucky to get a last minute reservation just in a little private area to the side of the entrance for supper but the waitress was agitated from the very beginning and was impatient to take our order for drinks before we had even sat down. She then stormed off not to be seen again until the end of the night when she was heard screaming at us "to return to our own country and never to come back". Back to the food: I had a delicious Foie gras to start, followed by an underflavoured and dry loin of veal and an even drier tarte. Avis très mitigé, on y est venu quand on a vu les bons commentaires sur Google. Nous avons bien mangé et les prix restent corrects.

Mais nous avons vraiment regretté que notre fille de 10 ans qui avait le menu enfant ai eu son repas servi bien avant nous , du coup elle a mangé son assiette seule pour ne pas que ça refroidisse et lorsqu’elle avait fini, les nôtres sont arrivées et c’était à son tour de nous regarder manger, on aurait voulu pouvoir manger TOUS ensemble en famille c’est un peu le but du repas en famille de partager un bon moment pendant les vacances et même à la maison tout le monde mange ensemble. Le service est par contre trop surfait, trop de détails à tout présenter les ingrédients jusqu’à la tranche de pain aux graines de …. Pas besoin d’en faire autant pour le « style » ça ne change pas le goût du plat en mieux.

Le Patron est passé voir la table derrière nous pour prendre leur commande ,une de leur connaissance apparemment mais il n’a dit bonsoir à personne en passant ni à notre table ni aux autres à côté, pas très cool je trouve, c’est la moindre des politesses il me semble .
