With a little patio out back and mediocre food, the egg omelette was plain and uninspired, chèvre burger was overly dressed and a bit soggy with to much tomato ketchup soaking in a store purchased hamburger bun. The fish and chips were not English style fish and chips as the name would suggest, but a small breaded piece of fish, which was tasty and small but not traditional. All the French fries were billed separately, even though fish and chips are not fish and chips without chips. Huh? The the menu price for the fries was 2.50e …we were charged 4.00e each including the fries for the fish and chips. Fries were ok, eat them before they cool is best. Service was fine and food was hot. Une honte pour Cherrueix… Dommage pour ce petit village si charmant. Nous avons pris les fish & chips (18-22€) À ce prix pour un bar type PMU, on s’attend à une belle assiette. C’est le souvenir que ma mère en avait, venue 1an auparavant. Elle est tombée sur un bon jour de la patronne d’après ce que nous comprenons des commentaires. Cuisine: morceau de cabillaud 5x5cm ! 10/15 frites max dans le panier… morceau plein d’arrêtes et filandreux. (Certainement surgelé de mauvaise qualité). J’ai recraché le morceau.. tranches de pain blanc décongelé et à moitié rassis. Service: Nous n’avons pas été servies par la patronne, mais une serveuse plutôt professionnelle. En revanche, le bistrot sent fort l’alcool, avec les habitués au comptoir. On entend la patronne crier et rire à tue-tête a l’autre bout de la terrasse. C’est très moyen question accueil mais servie avec des assiettes presque vides cet accueil déplorable prend une toute autre ampleur… Nous étions avec ma petite fille de 2ans qui avait très faim alors nous sommes restés mais il est évident que nous serions partis sur le champs à l’arrivée des plats si nous étions...
