They have had new owners take over three months ago. We had dinner for 11 people and all stayed at the hotel on our first night of our canoeing trip. The owners could not have been more accommodating. The food was exceptional, using local ingredients. The new chef spent many years cooking under Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir in Oxfordshire so you know his cooking is going to be great. We had a vegan with us and they created lovely food for her with no fuss. Would highly recommend the entrecote and the pig trotters both were cooked so well. They have a fantastic local wine list which we enjoyed greatly. The chocolate mousse and creme brullee for dessert were second to none and the lovely owner bought us some delicious Armagnac and cheese to enjoy after dinner too. The rooms are very comfortable and they sourced us fans as the weather was so hot! Again they did this with no fuss. Cannot recommend this place enough! Don't read the old reviews these were for the previous owners. What a fantastic find. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

We have had a brilliant stay at Hotel du Pont that totally exceeded all expectations! We've been treated so warmly and kindly by the fabulous couple who have taken over here about 3 months ago. Reviews before then are for the old owners so take those with a pinch of salt. The food was so delicious and very authentic - options from vegetarian salads all the way to the duo of foie gras ;) All the meat we ate was cooked perfectly and desert, cheese and digestifs all absolutely delicious. I couldn't rave more about the food and wine in such a welcoming atmosphere. The accommodation did the job - we had been on the river all day and were looking for somewhere basic, clean and comfortable and we all slept soundly. We would come back in a flash and actually wish we could stay longer! If there weren't so many places to explore we would definitely have stayed another night. Thanks Hotels du Pont you rock!!

Quand on me demande si j’ai bien dormi je craque !
