We received such a smiley, friendly welcome when we popped by for a drink, that we decided to eat here later in the week. Again, we were greeted warmly and both hosts were polite and chatty. We started with millefeulle tomatoes with mozzarella, this was finely sliced beef tomatoes with slices of herbed mozzarella, thank goodness we had one to share as the portion of two tomatoes and two little salads would have been too much for one! My lamb shank came with a little basket of sauté potatoes and vegetable terrine and a separate jug of rosemary infused jus. The lamb was tender and needed no cutting and the jus was irresistible. My husband had the pork fillet with the same veg and a pot of mushroom sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Ice cold water was available, as was fresh bread.
