Marc Pizza 24 — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

What a wonderful little place with the sweetest family that runs it. They were so nice and patient with my terrible French, pantomime, and pointing my way through ordering from the menu. My sister and I ordered takeaway, but we sat in the restaurant while we waited, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, I bet it is a great place for people to hang out or bring thier families. It is just off the road, we had no problem parking, and they were only 5 minutes from our hotel. The food was amazing. 100% comfort food, with portion sizes that remind me of mom and pop burger joints back home in America. We made the (pleasent) mistake of ordering two items each. I had a delux burger, which was amazing and one of the best I've ever had, and an xxx taco (more like a burrito than a taco though) but also sooo amazing. And, my sister had the xxx taco and the veggie pizza, which I had a bite of - it was one of the best pizzas I've tried on our whole trip through Europe. And, if we go back tonight, I'm getting a pizza this time, and just a pizza...haha😍. All the food was so amazing, but we were expecting the normal size portions of what we've been getting on our trip, so we could only eat half because the portions were so big, and for such a low price! Incredibly rude. We tried this one evening as it looked inviting. They were busy with called in orders but only 2 couples sat in the restaurant. They obviously didn't want our custom and were pretty rude about it. I could see the were busy so we were polite and I spoke French (although it's a bit poor) to try and not be rude ourselves but it clearly didn't help. They were hot and under pressure, I get that but they didn't have to be so rude. They had the best pizza we found on our trip in France, and they were extremely accommodating with our kids. Made one kid a pizza exactly as we asked and made a plate of chicken nuggets and pasta (also cooked just the way we asked) for our other child. Adults each had salads exactly as requested and extremely fresh, and shared a delicious pizza and perfect bottle of very reasonably priced wine—a local Chardonnay. Definitely a...
