So it was on for a full five stars... but then there were the old fashioned wiffs of drains that drifted across the terrace and through the dining room from time to time. Just like how countryside French dining always used to be. But I thought they'd got it sorted now. On our first lunch visit we ate a la carte and I had a delicious potato and ham pie, then chocolate dessert, with peach wine. Which was all delicious. But we were envious of everyone that we saw eating the set menu, so we came back for lunch again. The set menu was excellent value and delicious.
