Auberge Chez Marie — Restaurant in Sartène

First of all: We didn't went there to eat and this review relates to behaviour of the staff. I can't provide any food related feedback (but the fries).

We stopped by because of an emergency. Our daugther (5 years) vomited into our caravan because of the curvy road. She was crying and because of that and the mess we stopped on the parking lot of the restaurant which was just right in front of us when it happened. I didn't park too accurate because of the situation but still all cars where able to enter and leave the parking lot. We had been busy cleaning the caravan and calming our daugther when after a few minutes it knocked on the door. It was a man from the restaurant asking us if we would visit the restaurant as the parking lot was only for customers (so far so understandable). I explained our situation, that we didn't plan to have lunch as we just started our trip and that we would leave as soon as possible. He agreed and went back to the restaurant. As we kept cleaning only a few minutes later it knocked again and another guy from the restaurant asked us to park a little further down the road (or further down the parking lot, I didn't understand it well as my french is not the best). So I stopped cleaning and parked the caravan a little better so that it was easier for customers to park. (Note: The whole time there were enough parking spaces available and easy to reach). Only after a few more minutes there was a lady from the restaurant knocking on the door for the third time asking us if we were about to come or if we could finally leave. We already planned having some drinks there as a compensation for the inconvenience and I told her that we would come for some drinks. I had the impression that for here "some drinks" weren't enough for the financial damage we caused in those 10min. Anyways we went there, had a few drinks there and ordered fries for our daugther although we were really pissed about the response of the staff (especially the third knocking). I can totally understand that we are not supposed to stop there as a non customer but in a situation like that I would rather ask if I could help somehow than knocking three times pretending to be on the edge of bankruptcy due to one taken...

Long story short, the burger was raw (asked for medium). Asked kindly if they could cook it more, but they said no in a very inappropriate way. The man would not even talk to us anymore after we asked. It was very uncomfortable, the worst service we have gotten in Corsica! I also had to pay for the meal, even though I didnt...

The burgers we ordered were great, but the service and place leave much to be desired, especially when the temperatures are high, since there is very little shade. Also the toilets...
