Auberge U Sirenu — Restaurant in Sartène

I wouldnt go there, not to the hotel and definitely not the restaurant. There is huge discrepancy between the experience in the cottage which has rustic beauty and the attitude of the stuff. They are rude ! There is a "breakfast" they said 9:00 we came at 9 and were given the looks "what do you do here" finally half an hour later we received coffee juice and baguette with jam. The next day we ate in the cottage. Coming to the restaurant in the evening the waiter tried to sit us in dark part of the place, then first and second courses came at the same time although we specifically asked. We ended up paying 63 euro for a corsican salad , entrecôte, two glasses of wine and a bottle of soda 63 euro...

We had great expectations to our stay - but got more than disappointed. We stayed in a chalet with the noisy road just behind - the surroundings was poor - pictures can lie! We was looking forward to having halfboard - after seeing the pictures of the food - but we could choose among a few things and my husbond got a maindish with 4 smal pieces of meat (kebab). If you look at the fotos of the breakfast - don´t trust it! We got a cup of coffee and waited a long time for the bread and other things. After a while we had a dry peace of bread(had been frozen ) and some jam that had been "used" before. We had booked three nights but checked...

We had an amazing stay at Hotel U Sirenu. The room was beautiful in a rustic yet stylish way. Actually, it was a small self contained house, which we did not expect. the price was very good for what we got. The scenery around the hotel is also great, as was the food. However, the best thing about the hotel was the wonderful owner, John francois (??) and his amazing assistant, Chloe. Our rental car broke down and the management went out of their way to help us resolve the problem. They were very friendly and service minded and treated us more like friends than paying customers.
