La Cabane du Pêcheur — Restaurant in Sartène

Fantastic food, service, and ambience. A must visit for those in Bonifacio.

At the start of my stay in the area, I came to La Cabane du Pêcheur for dinner. However, I was so impressed with the food, I had to come back for lunch only a few days later!

The service was fantastic, the staff speak excellent English and are more than happy to give their honest recommendations. The fish is caught fresh daily and served whole, meaning it is some of the best you will ever have. Keep in mind, however, that this means they come with scales! For some reason, other reviews seem to find issue with this, but it gives away their seafood inexperience and apparent inability to find quality in anything other than a frozen and artificially colored fillet!

One of the few (maybe the only) authentic fish restaurants in the area. The cook is also a fisherman. They take only reservations because they have limited amount of fish and they want to be sure to give a good service. We spent 117 euros for 3 super big grilled fishes with potatoes, 2 beverages and 2 octopus and calamari salads. The portions are abundant and they pay back for the little expensive price. One starter is more than enough for two persons.

Loved this place so much!!! Seating just facing the ocean, mountains, and pretty sunset over your dining was priceless. Their seafood was as fresh as it got, only downside was the portion. I was just wishing the portion could be a bit bigger for the amount I paid... It's good and all, but I wasn't full 😅 , fulfilled with seafood I was craving. End of meal, this place was quite pricey but with the view I took in... and their nice friendly service. I gave this place a 4.

Ps. The profiterol...is a must...
