Restaurant des Chasseurs — Restaurant in Sartène

We drove past this restaurant accidentally and looked it up on google to find decent reviews, and decided to try it out (I was not disappointed). Please note they only take cash and do book in advance, like most french and Corsican restaurants.

We were welcomed by the super friendly staff and manager who personally gave us a breakdown of the whole menu.

I had the Veau with cheesy creamy mushroom sauce and homemade chips. It was cooked and seasoned well and deliciously creamy. For desert, I shared a homemade Creme Brûlée and Fondant Chocolat, and would definitely recommend this! They also have bartender who make excellent cocktails, I took a Mojito with lots of fresh mint and lime, and they were generous with the alcohol, which is always good news.

The value for money was awesome, it worked out at €36 each. Between the four of us we had 1 starter, 4 mains, 4 desert, 2 cocktails...

Small restaurant offering excellent wild and other meat dishes. Nice wine selection, the house wine is really good. Super nice and kind staff. The restaurant also has a terrace. The parking is quite small, but we did not have issues finding a spot. Warning no credit cards accepted, only cash (!), which especially now during Covid-19 is a little strange not pushing for contact...

Posto molto carino a 15 minuti da Porto Vecchio. Ambiente accogliente, personale molto cortese, un cameriere parlava anche italiano, e buona atmosfera. Noi abbiamo preso un antipasto in due, terrina di patè di cinghiale, una lasagna più una porzione di patatine per il bimbo, e due spiedini di vitello con patatine x noi. Patè buono, Lasagne molto buone, patatine buonissime, carne buona ma non perfetta. Cottura media richiesta, arrivata un pelo al sangue e non tenerissima in certi punti. Ad ogni modo tutto ok nel complesso. C'era anche un hamburger della casa che ispirava molto a vederlo. X completare il tutto 2 Calici di vino, acqua naturale e una lattina di coca: Totale 95 euro. Speravamo uscendo un po' da Porto vecchio di trovare prezzi più bassi. Invece tutto in linea con i prezzi della zona. Unico neo, non funzionava il pagamento con carte.
