This is a very friendly, no nonsense bar/restaurant that serves simple, excellent and very good value French food and a good range of bar drinks and wine. It is very popular with locals and visitors alike and we look forward to the 'menu' as it always includes a huge tureen of delicious and very hearty 'potage' soup and invariably has a small but well-cooked selection of tasty dishes. Dropped in for lunch after the Tuesday market across the road. Very popular restaurant, very busy, we had the daily plate selecting the lamb with chips and desert. Many of my chips were over fried and dry, I guess I got the last ones in the basket. The meat was lovely and tasty as well as easily chewed. The waitress was excellent and never stopped moving due to the crowds. Many people had the soup, it was very popular.
