Hôtel Restaurant Le Tivoli — Restaurant in Tarbes

Stayed at Hotel Tivoli after a long day's drive from Costa Blanca. Lovely looking hotel viewed from the street and got better inside. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly also English speaking. The premises are spotlessly clean as was our room which looked brand new. The bathroom was way and above standard hotel style, lots of room in both the hotel room and bathroom. The jewel in the crown is definitely Hotel Tivoli restaurant, wonderful Madam de Hotel to serve us with a smile, absolutely delicious food. We had a goat cheese salad to share, as the portion was quite large. Followed by salmon fillet and duck comfit, together with a bottle of Cotes de Gascoigne. The prices were also reasonable, given the quality of the food. If you like a firm bed you will be well pleased, if not ask for something softer. Will be coming back here in 2017 when we drive...

I booked the 9th of april for my birthday meal. I booked online an employee of the restaurant called me on the 2nd to see if it was that day I said no it was the 9th. On arrival they couldn't find my reservation, the welcome was cold and not warm. They kept us waiting then seated us on a table away from the other diners, dreadful, I was upset crying and not impressed by their behaviour. We left and found another restaurant in Maubourguet which wasn't as so called prestigious but 1000 times better. It's a pity because I've eaten at the restaurant before and it's good but I'll never go there again. They also lied and said they couldn't contact me on the 2nd of april they did contact me and I confirmed it was for the 9th of april that I'd booked. Dreadful...
