A traditional french bar/cafe where breakfast is served fronts a relaxed restaurant and quiet rooms that have been renovated to a very modern standard within the older picturesque architecture of the building.||Beds were big, showers excellent and everything was clean. We spent 2 nights here, a Friday and then the Sunday (after an Ironman). We arrived late on both occasions and the owner and staff (I believe family) could not have been more accommodating and friendly ensuring we had all we needed including keeping the kitchen open.||They were also patient with our lack of French (the owner has traveled in Europe including Ireland and the UK).||Restaurant food was excellent along with the house wine. Breakfast was freshly baked patisserie and bread with jams and yogurt.||||On checkout while talking to the owner he said with all sincerity that it was his wish that guests feel like friends in his home and having stayed two very comfortable nights here I would have to say that was our experience.||||Lift available...

Read moreThis hotel was used as an overnighter on a journey and as result was way above expectations. Being quite new of course helped as all the facilities are modern and also quite spacious. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, although being in the country and off the beaten track, don't all speak much English. However, this should probably not be expected. The restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty decent and serves a very good breakfast and a very nice dinner.||||A small negative is that the hotel has no air-conditioning and therefore it was quite uncomfortable in the extreme temperatures we experienced in France at the time. You have to sleep with the windows open and with the hotel being across the road from the main church, the clock bells go off every half hour and for some reason during the night, there are double...
