Auberge le bois du Cornet — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

We have eaten at Bois Du Cornet several times now and we always make a point of taking guests there when we are staying in St Jean D'Aulps, which is a few miles away. (We walk a lot in the area) The food there is very fine indeed and of excellent value. The owners are outstandingly warm and friendly and we always enjoy spending time there. The views are outstanding from the restaurant, and every time we go there there is a different aspect. Whilst we have not stayed there it looks as though the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Very perfect! This is a truly owner-managed accommodation where you can feel that the owner is still hands-on and genuinely passionate about serving guests. Sadly, this kind of dedication is rare these days—please keep it that way! Guests can always tell whether service is done out of duty or from the heart, and here it’s clearly the latter.

We felt very well looked after. The room was good and spotlessly clean. Breakfast didn’t have an overwhelming variety, but it had everything you need to start the day right. Parking is conveniently right outside the door, and the location is wonderfully quiet.
