Perfect location for both Avoriaz and Morzine! Having spent the last 12 years based in central Morzine we decided to take a punt at La Kinkerne. Wish we had done so years ago as it is fantastically located. You can ski right to the door, the Prodain lift up to Avoriaz is a 5 min walk away giving you easy access to the full Portes Du Soleil ski area, as well as Avoriaz town itself with it’s great water park. The kids didn’t want to leave. Morzine itself is still super accessible via the A bus that runs every 15 mins or so through the day until early evening, and then a bit more spaced out until fairly late. Food at La Kinkerne was really good too. Our kids are tricky to feed and the chef was always happy to go off-menu for them. As for the rest of us, we loved every meal whether Vegetarian or Carnivore. Thanks to all the staff at La Kinkerne and to Olly and Emma at Mountain Mavericks for a lovey holiday!

It's a great little pub and works well for Apres ski! The staff are really friendly and they have a nice variety of music on too!

My husband, myself and our adult daughter wanted a second short ski holiday at the end of the season. i booked two rooms for the end of March or three nights and the hotel more than met our expectations. We had two little self catering chalets a very short walk from the hotel. A very generous breakfast was delivered at 8am each morning. We left our skis in the hotel which is at the base of a button to take you high enough to ski to the main Prodains lift to Avoriaz - on the main slopes in 10 minutes. Very helpful and friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere. We all loved it and will be back. Our one meal there was good. I enjoy self catering, the kitchen was well equipped with saucepans and the two electric rings were challenging but fine. Very good value. the pre-arrival communication was superb, with transfers and ski passes organised. We left Gatwick at 6.30am and were on the slopes by 1pm. If you are hiring skies i suggest using Skimium either at the base of Prodains or just to the left as you get off, as Intersport is in the centre of Avoriaz and one Hell of a hike. The Skimuin staff were great and changed my husband's skis without a murmur. There is not much to do apres ski in the area, great for serious skiiers, and I would think groups of young people who ski hard and can make...

Absolutely perfect! The hotel is in an ideal location, a few minutes walk from the Prodains Express cable car, ski rental shop, local restaurants, and bus stop for the free bus to/from Morzine. Our flight from the UK did not arrive into Geneva until 22:30 but we were given clear instructions on where our keys would be, and the journey from Geneva took around 1 hour 20 mins in our rental car. There is private parking outside the front of the hotel which was ideal. For €14 each we had a good, continental style breakfast, including fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate etc each morning. The rooms were very comfortable, lovely and warm, and cleaned each day. The owners were very friendly, looked after us well, and answered a couple of questions before our trip, very quickly. There are also ski lockers for each room located to the side of the hotel. We already had our own boots, but rented skis online from Sport 2000 Prodains Sports, two minutes walk from the hotel. Highly...

We booked the apartment to stay in and a couple of extra rooms and it was quite lovely. In the apartment there were two double bedrooms with a shower room, separate room for the toilet, an open plan kitchen, dining and living area where there was a sofa bed as well. And 2 balconies overlooking the mountains. There was a microwave, fridge, a stove and plenty of utensils, cutlery, plates and cups to use. It was also nice they provided with some salt and sugar.

It was at some point quite cold, there was no thermostats around which was a downside. The triple room and the double room (not the apartment) we booked were quite small so something to bare in mind.

The hotel was very close to the cable car to head up to the mountains where we could ski. And right next to the bus stop which headed down to the town centre, a bonus that it was free too.

The owner spoke only French so there was a language barrier but he was very friendly and helped us out...
