April 2025 update: Stopped by again for lunch while in the area and were not disappointed. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere in a very clean modern interior. Borek (Feuillete au fromage feta) was again delicious as always and was really light and tasty with a tasty dipping sauce. The Adana (brochette de viande hachee) was again very tasty and delicious with a light smoke flavor. The grilled Dorade (fish) was very good and perfectly cooked as always.
May 2023 update: It has been more than a couple years since my last review of this restaurant so we went back for dinner and were not disappointed. One of the best restaurants you'll find anywhere offering delicious, moderately priced Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine. Street parking is limited so be prepared to drive around the block to find a spot to park. If you stop by during the week for dinner, you should be able to be seated upon arrival without reservation. Owner/chef welcomed us warmly and service was again excellent! If you have a special request for the chef, just let him know and he'll do everything possible to accommodate. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere in a very clean modern interior. Ordered the following entrees (starters): Houmous (puree de chick peas, huile d'olive, et tahini) was one of the best I've tasted - very creamy, smooth with delicious spices and olive oil. Borek (Feuillete au fromage feta) was delicious and really light and tasty with a tasty dipping sauce.
For main dish, I ordered Beyti (Brochette de viande hachee roule dans la galette, sauce tomate, yaourt, ail) which was absolutely delicious - ground beef had a very nice smokey barbecue flavor. Also ordered Cote de Veau with mushrooms sauteed in butter which was also delicious. The Adana (brochette de viande hachee) was also very tasty and delicious.
This is a must stop place if you're anywhere in the region - well worth the trip and you'll not have any regrets paying for moderately priced Turkish/Mediterranean Cuisine in a quite local neighborhood restaurant.
