Les Cocottes d'Hélène — Restaurant in Torcy

We were in this restaurant for my birthday dinner since we were visiting disneyland. I will be transparent, the food is very good, the wine and champagne deserves 5 stars. The problem is that they speak only French, they did not even have an english version of the menu since it was changed the previous week, so it was extremely difficult to understand the dishes and nobody was able nor willing to help (they were even a bit uncomfortable). In the end I ended up ordering the only dish I understood with the help of the translator, but it was embarrassing and I did not feel welcome. We are Italians and I speak fluently Italian obviously, as well as Spanish and English. In French I can communicate only the basics, and they were able to communicate only in French. Only the young boy attempted to say something in english, which was appreciated but not sufficient. For the experience the restaurant deserve 2, I am assigning 3 stars making the average with the 5 deserved...

Rapport qualité/prix médiocre

Décoration et ambiance très sympa et de qualité.

Qualitée de la nourriture et de la cuisine convenable mais beaucoup trop cher par rapport aux prestations.

Tous les softs (perrier, coca...) sont à 6€, bière artisanale (8 € les 33 cl) un spritz à 10€ ( verre rond remplie à moitié, bien dilué à l'eau gazeuse ...). Ici c'est plus cher qu'une terrasse à Paris !

Déjeuné pour un midi en semaine à 13h, environ 15 clients dans le restaurant... Service très très long ( dessert servie à 15h, pour un menu intitulé menu express...), et visiblement pas le seul à me pleindre. Des clients sont partie excédée de l'attente et après avoir reçu leur plat sans le manger ( veau saignant, c'était le coût de grâce pour le client).

Concernant le menu à 24€ entrée/plat ou plat/dessert ( pas de suggestion du moment alors que c'est indiqué dans votre carte) le choix entre une cocotte viande ou poisson ( calamar à la provençale avec du riz). Calamar très bon mais prix execcif pour l'ensemble .

Nous commandons deux verres de vin blanc ( un sec et un fruitée) ils sont inversés lorsqu on nous les sert à table, heureusement que la différence est notable.

Si vous avez des problèmes de personnel en salle et en cuisine, le mieux est quand même de prévenenir le client en arrivant des délais qui risque d'être plus long qu'à l'habitude ( à moins que sa soit l'habitude... )

Résultat: 99€ pour 2 aperos , 2 grenadines, 2 menus express et 2 menus enfants. A noter 2 verres de vin offert pour le délais que nous vous avons fait remarqué, ce qui est commerçant.

La cuisine est peut être plus travaillé sur le menu qui n est pas "d'entrée de gamme"... Mais revoyez le prix de vos softs c'est vraiment abusif... On se croirait dans une brasserie à touriste au pied de la tour Eiffel c'est le même prix.
