Acampa Plage — Restaurant in Toulon

After we finished our lovely family lunch, heading to what was planned to be a great and fun evening we were asked if we wanted “just one more coffee,” only to be tricked into ordering five more drinks… This seemed like a premeditated tactic to close our bill so they could conveniently start a “new one” for the rest of the evening. What followed was nothing short of appalling.

Without warning, staff began pulling the cushions out from under my family as we were still seated... When we kindly asked if they could clean off the nearby white benches (which were covered in leaves and trash), they simply laughed and walked away. Moments later, the chair my partner and I were sitting on was taken too, leaving us all awkwardly standing around a table with full coffees and cocktails still in front of us.

The final straw came when a staff member arrogantly told us we had to leave our table altogether. Within seconds, the doorman approached us aggressively, escalating the situation completely unnecessarily. The mood flipped instantly, from a joyful evening with full drinks and good company to being treated like unwanted trash and essentially thrown out.

I have truly never experienced anything like this. We had a reservation for both lunch and drinks, we were respectful, we were spending well, and still, we were pushed out while our drinks remained untouched. The crowd was also extremely rowdy and marginal in behavior, adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere.

To be fair, the food was excellent but absolutely nothing can justify this level of disrespect and manipulation from the staff. My honest recommendation: go next door to La Viola! wonderful ambiance, warm and professional staff, and a much more...

Très déçus de notre expérience chez Acampa. On ne reviendra pas, et honnêtement, seuls le décor et les sauces sauvent les meubles. Sinon, c’était un enchaînement de mauvaises surprises. Dès le départ, le service nous a mis dans le ton : extrêmement lent. On commande nos apéritifs, nos plats et une bouteille de vin en même temps. Résultat ? On reçoit les plats avant tout le reste. Le serveur ne semble même pas choqué de cette aberration. Puis vient la bouteille… Et 10 minutes après les cocktails ! Vous imaginez la logique : on mange, on boit le vin, et ensuite on trinque aux apéritifs. Incompréhensible. Autant dire qu’on n’a rien pu savourer correctement. Le risotto ? Une catastrophe, on aurait dit du plâtre. Le Sunday Acampa ? Vraiment très mauvais, sans goût, sans intérêt, même un dessert industriel aurait été meilleur. Heureusement que les viandes étaient correctes, les sauces étaient même très bonnes, on ne va pas mentir. L’eau, quant à elle, a été servie à la fin du repas. Pratique. Pour les desserts, on n’était pas pressés mais on aurait pu l’être : on voyait déjà le personnel ranger et basculer en mode fermeture. On aurait aimé que le service suive un peu mieux le rythme des clients au lieu de nous donner l’impression de gêner en commandant. Mais le pompon : une mouche dans le shooter de champagne du Porn Star Martini. Oui, ça peut arriver, mais quand c’est une chose de plus dans une série d’erreurs, ça commence à bien faire. Et là, la blague finale : l’addition. 64,67 € par personne. Mon ami paie 64,70 € (ok, bon, on laisse passer), mon conjoint paie 129,50 € ou 130 €… sans aucune explication. Aucun avertissement, aucun geste commercial malgré cette soirée ratée. On parle pas de centimes, on parle de principe. Depuis quand on s’autorise à arrondir les montants sans prévenir les clients ? Ah et j’oubliais : on avait réservé pour 3, la table était mise pour 2. J’ai dû moi-même aller chercher un verre, une serviette et des couverts à une autre table. Personne n’a réagi. Terrible Service – Never Coming Back

I recently visited L’Acampa in Cavalière and while the food was average, the service was absolutely appalling. From the moment we arrived, the staff were cold, unfriendly, and completely unwelcoming.

It was hands down the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. There was no sense of hospitality, no effort to make us feel comfortable, and the attitude from the staff bordered on rude.

This place may have a decent location, but the horrible service completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend L’Acampa to anyone and will certainly...
