This Auberge is a little off the beaten tourist track but all the better for that and is well worth making a detour for. The main attraction is the food. The chef is Doris Coppenrath, the menu is short, modern and inventive, ingredients are local, fresh and 'bio,' and the meals, both lunch and dinner, are served in a pleasant and unpretentious dining room, often by Roland Pilger, partner to Ms Coppenrath. We have eaten there on a number of occasions and also stayed there for three nights bed and breakfast in Autumn 2012. Our en-suite room was simple but very clean, well equipped and comfortable, and our hosts were helpful and unobtrusive. The area is a delight, wooded countryside, good for walking and touring on almost deserted paths and roads.
