Shocked by the treatment – not dog friendly
Let me start by saying that the pizza was good. Are there because was the only place which food open at that moment in the island yesterday.
However, my experience at this restaurant left me shocked.
As I was crossing the door with my dog — simply to ask if the kitchen was still open — the woman managing the restaurant immediately confronted me, aggressively saying that dogs are absolutely not allowed inside.
What’s frustrating is that I had no intention of staying inside. It was sunny, and I had already seen empty tables on the terrace, which is where I planned to sit.
What makes me even angrier is that there was no sign or sticker anywhere indicating a no-dog policy. I always check before entering a place with my dog, and this restaurant gave no warning at all.
Even some of the customers sitting outside commented that her attitude was rude and completely unnecessary.
Of course, I asked why dogs weren’t allowed, and the only response I got — three times — was simply, “Because it’s like this!”
In most places, this would already be disappointing, but I’m particularly shocked because this is Brittany — one of the most dog-friendly regions I’ve visited (and this is my fourth time here).

Read moreWow, I haven't experienced such rude treatment in a long time. My family of 4 arrived by bike at about 1:30pm on a Monday. Nearly every restaurant on the island was closed, so we were delighted to find this one open. In spite of a robust business already seated and eating and us patiently waiting, when I asked if we might have lunch there (I speak pretty fluent French) the server yelled at me that she could not seat us because she didn't have enough servers. I asked if we could come back later and she said we could try. So we biked around for another 30 minutes and came back. The restaurant had mostly emptied out - there were only a few tables seated now, one with a large party. I asked if we could please eat now and she yelled at me again saying no we could not, there was no room for us. What did I do wrong? So rude! And frankly the food didn't look that great anyway. We were very lucky to make it back to the port in time to enjoy a wonderful meal with very kind service at l'Escalade d'Arz even though they were closing the kitchen - they...
