Buffalo Grill Verdun — Restaurant in Verdun

Tl;dr: Worst…steak…EVER! Also bad customer follow-up and timing. Would not recommend.

I’ve been to other Buffalo Grill establishments and never had any complaints. This particular visit was not very satisfying. First of all when we arrived, all the lights were out, it seemed closed even though it was supposed to be open. Once inside we were greeted by a friendly young lady and escorted to our table. We ordered some drinks and a starter, when the drinks arrived, we ordered dinner. About 10 min later, the starter arrived along with the message that our dinner was also ready! Rather unpleasant! We ordered an extra round of drinks at that time. 2 of the 3 dishes were ok, except for the horribly dried out fries. The steak was a disaster. It was cold, extremely chewy and even the knife couldn’t cut through parts of it. I even bent the fork multiple times trying to hold the steak steady trying to cut it. That 2nd round of drinks I ordered? Never arrived, I had to remind them, even then, only half of the drinks were served.

Sorry guys, please tighten...

as tourists we tried our best in speaking french, but it didnt get us far, so we tried it in english and luckily enough, the nice girl at the counter understood us. She brought us to a table and left us to be served by a server who was unable to speak english. Which ´wasnt a problem at all, since google translate is really helpfull. we ordered steak medium to rare. My friends steak was fine, but mine looked fine at first, but tasted like charcoal. i turned it around and the other side was burned as hell.

this is the first time i send an item back to the kitchen. after my friend was finished i received a newly prepared steak but it was the worst kind of steak available. Only half of it was edible, just full of fat strains (the bad type) and gristle.

The reviews kind of scared us going in, but we were pleasantly surprised by the experience.

The food was overall very yum, the service was polite, and there were numerous budget friendly options. We loved the quesedillas, onion rings, cheeseburger, bbq ribs and creme brulee!

We also received a free salad and warm bread upon sitting down.

As for cons, it did take a some time to get service. We got the package deal at around 8:30, left around 10:30 If you have good company to chat with, its fine :) we didn't mind

Second con, please do not get the "Ananas Florida." I was a fool for expecting Fresh sweet tropical fruit in Verdun France, do not make my mistake. 😆👍 might be worth removing from the menu
