Delightful and authentic local experience. We arrived sans reservation, the place was full, and we were accommodated in the bar side of the restaurant. They serve spirits, one beer on tap, house wine in white or red. We enjoyed one beer plus a 50cl pichet of red which was surprisingly good.
Our only option appeared to be the 3-course meal on offer. We were in the mood to be adventurous. Service was quick but we were not rushed. Our meal was unfussy and delicious. The baguette is excellent !
Our hosts were charming. €48 Their Thursday-Sunday menu is more expensive.
The bistro sells a small variety of spirits, wine, and gourmet foods items. We’re Jamieson’s fans and fell in love with a tin sign @ €10.50.

Read moreWe had the delicious menu of the day with an amazing salad, a meat plate, different sorts of bread, cooked potatoes and a cheese buffet like I've never seen before. Thanks a lot to the restaurant owners and waiters, we had a great time at your restaurant and nearly didn't make it up the Chateau with so...

However, my wife is somewhat of a vegetarian, and although there were no offerings for her specifically, Yvette went out of her way and prepared a wonderful vegetarian meal for her. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We hope to return someday....
