Whilst the food I ordered (Pulled beef burger and veggies plus Crème aux oeufs) was very tasty, the service, the attitude of the waiter, the music and the atmosphere were very poor. We arrived and stood awkwardly in the foyer for about two minutes before we were pointed in the direction of a table. We were not escorted to the table. The young male waiter did not greet us with a friendly welcome and didn't make any eye contact with any of us. When he approached us with menus, I asked if there were menus in English; he laughed and said "No". All our food was served by leaning in front of me or my husband, to the other couple in our group rather than going around (there was plenty of room) to serve on from the left. When we had indicated that we were finished, he caught my eye, waved the bill in the air and slapped it on the bench instead of delivering it to us politely at the table. Throughout the evening, the waiter didn't wish us "Bon appetite" or thank us at the end of our visit. We also had to ask for a basket of bread because it was not offered to us. Finally, the restaurant did not have pleasant music and really lacked character and atmosphere. All of this is such a pity because we were really looking forward...
Read moreAmazing restaurante. With so many being under par around France now, particularly in the more touristy spots this was the best find of our holiday! From the service, to the surroundings to most importantly the food! We couldn't fault our visit and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had a tomato soup with egg starter as well as the pate which was lovely and then pork for main which was the best pork we have ever had. Dessert was a mix of different fruit based things which was delicious. All in all we felt for the quality of both the service and food the prices were reasonable. Particularly compared to other establishments we ate in which were not a lot cheaper in the grand scheme of things and were absolutely appalling. If you only eat out once on your holiday or travels you...
