Went to La Cave du Bénit (AKA The Irish Corner) in Le Beny Bocage on the afternoon of the Feast of the Assumption public holiday.
What a find! A lovely place with a great atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly hosts (Irish and French speaking!), sausage baguette and frites supplied by a local caterer and live music all afternoon from local musicians.
Although the weather wasn't great and we were sitting outside (under a vast open sided marquee!), the music and good company kept everyone (50:50 French and English) warm, dry and in good spirits.
