Café des arts — Restaurant in Yssingeaux

Went there for a lunch. We didn’t get a menu, the waiter only told us what they have available. The prices were not known for us till we had to pay. Ot was busy and staff was disorganised. We ordered chicken pasta and tajine. When we got our place the only difference was tht i had my meal with pasta (not freshly cooked) and my partner couscous. Chicken pasta was served with boiled vegetables (the same as for tajine) roasted chicken (the same as for tajine) and bolognese sauce with beef meat. My daughter and I were able to come in from the cold to have a hot chocolate. The owner was very sweet to let us stay through to lunchtime, where we had a delicious couscous lunch, fabulous red wine, and wonderful little cakes. 😋 We were very thankful for his hospitality. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing coffee/cafe. The owner stopped by and talked with our family and shared stories of the community, ecole, and area. Highly recommend to take the time to visit.
