The is a hotel with two buildings. The main house and a new modern house (around 30 to 40 meters away on the same street). ||||Location:||The location is close to Mainz and Wiesbaden. Also interesting is Kaiserslautern, which deserves a day trip. Should you arrive/fly into Frankfurt am Main you will need around 45 mins to an hour (depending on traffic) to get there my rental car. ||||Parking:||The hotel has free parking. ||||Service:||Top service! Nothing to complain about. We felt like a guest should feel. ||||Cleanliness:||Rooms were clean, nothing hiding in the corners.||Restaurant was clean. Restrooms were very clean as they should be. ||||Food: ||We booked a so called Kitchen Party Event along with the room. This event involves the guest. What does this mean. Well first of all you do not have to cook:-) ||The menu involves the 10 course meal with wines, coffee/tee and water. The nice and fun part of the event is the fact that you serve yourself. You pick up you wine and you go to the kitchen to get your food when each course is ready. Enough was there that you could take seconds if there was seconds to be had. But with a 10 course meal, you might be careful because you would want to try everything to the end. The fun part of this is you can talk to the cook and his team. You shoot them with questions of how the menu was put together and how things were prepared. Here you get an idea of how clean the kitchen is as well. Another part of the evening was a live singer. Great idea, to a perfect evening. A great concept. ||||Vacation information: ||The hotel with full of activity information of what you can do in the area. Hiking, Biking, and Golfing etc.. There are small hills but no mountains. It is well worth walking the paths through the Grape fields. ||You are close enough to larger cities for daily trips if you want. ||||If you are by chance in the area on a Friday or Saturday, take the time to go to the Winegut Klosterhof Flonheim. They are direct sellers of their wonderful wines. For more information see my comments under Weingut Kosterhof Flonheim here on Tripadvisor.||||I hope I could assist you in...

Read moreOnly 30-45 minutes from the Frankfurt airport, this hotel and wine restaurant are a wonderful alternative to the big city. My room was quiet and generous and looked out on a working barnyard (which also served as small parking lot for guests) . But the magical memory came from hours over wine and dinner in the stone walled courtyard between the main (very old and elegant) house and a new but tasteful addition. Service was personable, attentive and knowedgable. Prices were very reasonable, even with the weak Dollar. The wine selection is what you might expect from an excellent vineyard. German reds are greatly undervalued. Only negative - the part of the village where the hotel is located is pretty grim. Not much charm. So stay close...
