Steakhaus Cascada — Restaurant in Bad Belzig

I ate here a few weeks ago and enjoyed the atmosphere of both the restaurant and the surrounding area. The restaurant itself is very simple and straightforward, and in my opinion, the service was excellent. The drinks were great as well.

My only remarks are about the food. The starter, which was a sort of pizza bread topped with cheese and fresh herbs, was lacking in flavor—it needed more salt and a stronger punch of herbs. The tiramisu was also missing that sweet punch and smooth hint of coffee flavor; instead, it tasted mostly of heavy whipping cream.

The biggest highlight for me was the pasta, which was full of flavor and had plenty of salmon in it! I wish the rest of the dishes had packed the same flavor profile as this one—it would have been a 5 for me if they had.

Das Essen war schmackhaft. Pilze mit Spinat in Gorgonzolacremesauce - eine üppige Portion, zartere Personen wären davon sicher bereits vollständig satt. Es gab dazu zwei sehr wohlschmeckende Brötchen, ideal um die Sauce aufzutunken. Die hausgemachte Limonade war ebenfalls gut. Als Hauptgang Pizza mit Lachs und Krabben als extra Gorgonzola. Die Aromen kamen schön heraus, der Rand war knusprig. Die inneren 2/3 des Pizzabodens waren nicht knusprig sondern zusammen mit dem Belag eine weiche Masse. Allerdings wird das seit einigen Jahren ja in vielen Restaurants so serviert, sei also akzeptiert, geschmacklich ist es auch nicht unbedingt von Nachteil, so kann man immer etwas Rand und etwas Inneres zusammen aufgabeln und hat knusprig und Saftig in einem. Ebenfalls schön üblich geworden, daß es zum Hauptgang kein neues Besteck gibt, dennoch für mich immer noch ein Verfall der Sitten. Vom Kellner ( durchaus freundlich) mit Blick und Kopfbewegung aufgefordert zu werden, die Gabel vom Vorspeisenteller an mich zu nehmen ....das hat einfach keinen Stil....insgesamt war der Kellner sehr freundlich und angenehm, ich sah aber, daß am Nachbartisch eine übergeschwappte Kaffeetasse serviert wurde, das gehört zurück in die Küche und nicht auf den Tisch des Gastes. Ein Missgeschick kann immer passieren, nicht schlimm, nur das dem Gast vorzusetzen.... Zum guten Schluß: die Preise sind wirklich günstig,damit sei der mangelnde Stil verziehen. Ich würde jederzeit...

Was Bad Belzig for surgery. Coming from New Orleans in the states. Amazing food. Big portions, I could not eat everything. I had the Spaghetti de Casa and the sauce was so good; the broccoli with hollandaise was superb, you could tell how fresh the broccoli was; the tomato salad with farm fresh tomatoes; and I had a mandarin cocktail to finish it all off. Great service, and though I speak no German, it was easy to communicate as most speak english....
