Porschdorfer Einkehr — Restaurant in Bad Schandau

We passed the Porschdorf Einkehr daily during a recent stay nearby and decided to try it for a nice dinner out. We were delighted!! From the genial host to the selection of local small-production wines and spirits to the excellent, fresh and wonderfully presented food we rate this as a “find”. The dining room is a modern take on a traditional gasthaus, with lighter woods and creative, funky light fixtures. The food is fresh and locally sourced (producers are listed on the menu). They were able to accommodate our need for a gluten free meal and seemed quite knowledgeable about gluten free requirements. The best restaurant in area of 30km. We visited this place in group of 12 adults, kid and a dog (amstaff). It wasn't a problem to eat with a dog inside. Maybe from outside it's not very encouraging as well as from inside but the food compensate everything. The owner is very kind and helpful. He speaks German, English, Czech and other similar slavic languages. Owner has a great sense of humor and helped us to choose the food. Wir waren heute dort Essen und sind dank der vielen Bilder bei Google (Maps) von einer reichhaltigeren Speisekarte ausgegangen. Aktuell gibt es dort Flammkuchen und Pizza. Die beiden Pizzen, die wir gegessen haben, waren super, keine Frage! Auch gibt es dort Pizzen, die es woanders nicht gibt. Zum Beispiel war bei meiner "Herren Pizza" Blutwurst drauf. Das klingt im ersten Moment vielleicht nicht bombastisch, war aber sehr lecker. Trotzdem geht man aufgrund der Bilder bei Google (Maps) davon aus, dass es dort unter anderem Schnitzel und Forelle gibt, was nicht der Fall ist. Auch für unser kleines Kind (1 Jahr alt) war dementsprechend nichts dabei. Das ändert sich sicherlich, wenn die Kinder etwas älter sind. Zur gleichen Zeit waren andere Gäste vor Ort, bei dem sich die Kinder eine Margarita Pizza teilen wollten. Ich empfehle dem Betreibern, die unzutreffenden Bilder mit Speisen, die es dort nicht mehr gibt, bei Google (Maps) entfernen zu lassen. Dann wüsste man, worauf man sich einlässt. Wobei auf der Webseite richtigerweise auf die Speisekarte mit Flammkuchen und Pizza hingewiesen wird. Es ist jedoch fraglich, ob jemand, der sich bei Google (Maps) inspirieren lässt, tatsächlich auf die Homepage geht und sich vergewissert, dass die Speisekarte noch...
