Metzgerbräu — Restaurant in Bad Tölz

Our lunch there was an unpleasant experience. We weren`t so hungry and ordered 1 beer, 1 water, 1 main dish and 1 side dish for both of us. On taking the order, the "boss" got really upset and called us "kindisch" (childish). He added that we were taking away 2 seats at lunch time from other guests (even though only 2 tables were occupied and no other guests were waiting...Now, when the food arrived we were surprised at the tiny amounts. Just had the most amazing dinner at this place. After traveling across Europe, this is by far one of my top three places I've enjoyed food at. If you want tastes that wow you and make you feel like you can't get enough, come to this place and enjoy a well cooked home like meal, absolutely amazing is all I can say. The chef cooks like a world class chef, and I believe it's a husband and wife that run the restaurant, service was great, I had their salad, with a beef sirloin steak and noodles in black pepper corn sauce along with the apple strudel with vanilla ice...

Wir waren heute Abend zu zweit im Metzgerbräu. Leider wurden wir stark enttäuscht. Erstmal war die Bedienung relativ unfreundlich und man konnte nicht mal in Ruhe, in die Speisekarte schauen. Wir bestellen zwei Spezi, zweimal das Cordonblou mit Pommes und Salat. Der Salat kam eindeutig aus der Tüte und war sehr trocken, ohne Dressing. Das Cordonblou war matschig, fettig und kalt. Die Pommes leider auch, man konnte die Pommes nicht mal aufspießen mit der Gabel, so matschig waren die und total versalzen. Dazu waren auf einem Teller auch Haare und das zur Corona Zeit! Als wir den Wirt auf das Matschige essen drauf hinweisen, hieß es nur "Das könnte nicht sein". Die restlichen matschigen Pommes lagen noch auf dem Teller und schwammen im Fett von dem Cordonblou. Da gab es auch kein Trinkgeld von uns, bei einem Preis von 36,20. Sowas habe ich hier in den ganzen Jahren, noch nirgends wo erlebt. In keinem Bayrischen Wirtshaus. Und die Bedienung war auch immer zu am Rauchen und bediente dann die Gäste... Eindeutig nicht...
