We only booked this hotel- pension because it was about half way on a long journey,so we could have a nights sleep before the other part of our trip. The property is in a very quiet location with nothing nearby. There seemed to be a few of walkers and bicycles around probably because there is nothing else to do ! Although it is in a quite location it is next to horse stables and you can certainly smell the horse excrement !!! After a long drive all we wanted was to have a nice meal and drink and then get a good nights sleep for the next leg a day later. On arriving at the in house restaurant ( we had to eat there,as there was nothing nearby ) we placed our order.Just as our salad arrived we were greeted by a crying baby.It must have been about 20.30.While we ate our salad the baby who was in the mothers arms never stopped crying. It was obvious that the baby needed bed. When our steak came the same again non stop crying with only a small pause to get his/her breath back probably. It was probably now about 22.00 if I remember, well past any babies bedtime. Then we noticed that the mother on more than 1 occasion had walked into the kitchen with the baby and an older child.LATER the babies father arrived about 22.15-22.30.He then held the baby and the mother went in the kitchen again. So from 20.30 -22.30 apart for about 15 minutes we had a baby crying all evening!!! A nice relaxing meal after a very long day.So obviously the mother either works there and takes her child to work or whatever. After a nights sleep we went for breakfast. We could not believe it the mother was there AGAIN with the same crying baby!!! The breakfast was terrible. The worst thing was the bacon that looked as if it had been reheated a few times and was virtually cremated. We paid the bill and left after breakfast A:S:A:P. There was a huge bonus,we had only booked the 1 night. It was the WORST place we ever booked in 50 years as we are both pensioners but have...
