Gasthaus Laroswacht — Restaurant in Berchtesgaden

We stopped here on the way back from Konigsee just when a storm was starting, hoping to get some food. Although they were fully booked they fitted the two of us in on a shared table with a large group. Everyone was so helpful dispite the rain and so many people wanting to be inside. We were so grateful for the lovely meal we were served and the helpful service. We wish we could have stayed longer and ordered more so we could show our apreciation better, as it was we had a long journey ahead of us in the rain so had to go. We would certainly recommend stopping here but suggest booking especially if the weather is bad and the outside tables...

The food quality was average or below average (we had better dishes all over the region). The service was poor. The waiter was rude and handed all the plates to one person to pass to the others. The place was full of wasps—20-30 of them attacked our table as soon as the food was served. We could not finish the meals or the drinks (see the attached image—the apple sauce that came with the Kaiserschmarrn was full of wasps). When the waiter saw the issue, they chose not to deal with it or offer any help....

Cozy and traditional place with a warm atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food came quickly. I tried the goulash soup – flavorful, though a bit on the salty side. The rest of the dish was tasty. Parking space is limited, so it’s better to come early. We didn’t need a reservation this time, but depending on the season it might be necessary.
