Ajad Indian restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

Edit: THREATENED BY OWNERS: Just after posting the review below, a person (I'm assuming the owner of the restaurant) called my boyfriend(we had ordered from his Lifernado account) and threatened us! She read our address back to us and said its good that she knows where we live and that she will report us to the police! MY GOD! This is my absolute WORST experience in Berlin so far. I really feel unsafe about these people knowing where I live.

2 EDIT -In reponse to the owner: By simply looking at my account, you can see that I have reviewed many food joints in multiple countries for several years and I always aim to be impartial in my reviews. This outrage and honestly unprofessional behaviour for an honest review is shocking.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ordered from Ajad using Liferando. With such high reviews, I had high expectations but sadly, the food was really not good. The tandoori chicken was sweet! Tasted like ketchup. The chicken Jalfrezi was also sweet but better than the Tandoori chicken. The duck masala was passable. The gravy was tasty but the duck meat tasted old.

I ordered food from here via lieferando and I did not like the food and hence posted review on lieferando. The next day I had the owner call me and ask me in a very indignant tone why I gave a poor review and if I was doing it since I was working with some other food joint and if I do this all the time. He never even asked why I did not like the food. His argument was they have been in business for 25 years and hence their food cannot be bad and hence they can take no criticism. Yesterday I felt the food was bad and today I know their service is worse.

[Adding to the original review] - The drama does not end. A few minutes after posting this review I had another lady call me from this establishment. The man who called me first was at-least polite unlike this lady who was very rude. She read out our address back to us and said she is going to the police. Very cozy place with original Indian setting and food. The food option is very good and they have reduced offers for kids too. They have a parking place too, so if you drive there you are fine. Food is not so expensive and you can eat as much as you want. Refill is free. I enjoyed the lam and chicken sauce and not so much the fish as it contained much of onions rather than the fish.
