Yesterday (Sunday) my wife and I stumbled upon a beautiful café and decided to go in. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and finding an empty table was rare. After waiting a few minutes, Manuel, a handsome and friendly Guy, took our order. While ordering, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. I was embarrassed, but Manuel kindly informed us that mobile payment was possible. Unfortunately, I was not able to make the payment via cellphone. As we were leaving the café, Manuel patiently and kindly gave us a piece of paper with banking information for a bank transfer and helped us through the process. His friendly and welcoming attitude was so sincere that we did not feel ashamed or uncomfortable to ask for help, even though we could not speak German fluently.
He then offered a free drink as a courtesy. We ordered coffee and cake, and it was exceptional. As someone who enjoys good coffee, I can confidently say that the coffee at this café was much better than that of the famous Berlin coffee roastery shops. The homemade cake with homemade cream was an artistic masterpiece. The quality of all the components of the cake was exceptional. After reading about the history of the café, which has been run by a family for several generations, you could not have expected anything less.
If you value high-quality ingredients, excellent and delicious products, a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, and the service, and the café's location is important to you, I highly recommend this café. Thank you, Manuel. We'll...
Read moreA wonderful discovery in a hidden outer corner of Berlin's rural outskirts. The last northern stop of M1 tram gets you to Rosenthal where you are welcomed by this cafe with kult potential, at Hauptstr. 155 (Bowie fans alert - it's not in Schoeneberg) in Rosenthal. The cafe has a wonderful nostalgic collection, is open on weekends only and offers bio lemonade and juices s...
