Ti's Café — Restaurant in Bernkastel-Kues

A hidden treasure! We discovered this cafe after a long bike ride and had a fabulous lunch. I enjoyed the mushroom wrap and my husband got the salad and hummus. We came back the next morning for breakfast and it was also tasty! I loved the red cappuccino (made with rooibos tea) and my tofu-Rösti. My husband liked his granola and side of scrambled chickpea “egg”. The decaf coffee was also really good. I love the variety and thoughtfulness of the menu, and each item is executed really well. Their cake case also looks so tempting! It’s difficult to find vegan or plant-based options in this area of Germany, let alone a dedicated cafe with such tasty and quality items! We will definitely keep coming back. P.S. I highly recommend sitting outside...

Unbeschreiblich! Eigentlich kann man dieses wundervolle Kleinod kulinarisch, veganer Geschmacksexplosionen gar nicht in Worte oder gar eine Rezension packen. Ich möchte es an dieser Stelle aber trotzdem tun, da das Ti’s eigentlich 10 Sterne verdient hat.

Ti‘s Café bietet von süß bis herzhaft, von Frühstück bis Mittag oder fürs Kaffeekränzchen wie bei Oma am Nachmittag einfach alles, was einem im Mund und am Gaumen Freude bereitet. Die komplette Karte ist vegan, gerade für Menschen mit Allergien oder Unverträglichkeiten ein wahr gewordener Traum. Aber egal ob vegan oder nicht, lecker muss es sein. Und hier war alles was wir probieren durften - Herzhaftes, Desserts, Kuchen, Kaffee, Wein - mega. Geschmack stimmig, die Texturen mal fluffig, mal bissfest, die Präsentation grazil, wahre Kompositionen auf Tellern.

Eigentlich vermutet man solch ein Café eher in Berlin Kreuzberg und weniger im beschaulichen Minheim mit seinen weniger als 500 Einwohnern. Aber vielleicht ist genau dieser Umstand das Erfolgsrezept. Man muss das Lokal etwas suchen, da es leicht versteckt mitten im Dorf liegt. Wenn man nicht mit dem Rad unterwegs ist, parkt man am besten am Dorfrand an der Mosel und läuft ein paar Meter ins Ti‘s.

Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll, vereint moderne Elemente mit alten Klassikern in einem alt ehrwürdigem Bau. Die Karte ist umfangreich, sowohl was Getränke als auch Speisen betrifft. Es gibt einen gemütlichen Aussenbereich mit ausreichendem Sonnenschutz und Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Die Preise sind in meinen Augen OK und in Anbetracht dessen, dass man auf ökologische, fair gehandelte und vegane Produkte setzt auch angemessen. Wenn man Qualität und handwerkliches Geschick bei der Zubereitung möchte, muss man auch bereit sein dies entsprechend zu entlohnen.

Familie Wanniger als Inhaber haben die ganze Zeit ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und man merkt, dass sie mit ganzer Leidenschaft für das Café und seine Gäste da sind. Der Service ist super. Aufmerksam, freundlich und zu keiner Zeit aufdringlich. Man fühlt sich ein bisschen wie bei Oma zum Sonntagskaffee.

Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir in unserem Urlaub unbedingt auch noch einmal zum Frühstücken vorbeischauen....

Unexpectedly wound up here for lunch. Set in a beautiful small town out of the main rush of tourist sides along the Valley. We were in the midst of 5 months of international travel and this rates up with any as the best meal of the trip (highly recommend the Lasagna). Hard to find many good vegan/vegetarian options most places but this one had so many it was hard to choose. Kid friendly (thanks for the pancakes even after breakfast hours!!) and very charming indoor/outdoor setup. Finished off our meal with an espresso, a sampler of cake slices, and a stroll down to the river / playground on a picture perfect day.

Definitely eat here if you have the chance, whether or not you eat...
